Resources

When it come to marketing your business online, there are plenty of products, service, and tools available.  Though there are literally hundreds of products and services I could recommend – listed below are a handful of the most important, powerful, and helpful tools  I personally recommend to help you start, build, and grow your business online.

Building / Hosting Websites

NameCheap

Of course the first thing you’ll need is a domain name.  I purchase most of my domain names at NameCheap.com.  I personally prefer them over more “well known” domain companies because they actively support free speech and free commerce online. You can learn more about NameCheap and register your domain names here.

When it comes to building websites, I highly recommend using the WordPress platform. You’ll want to own your own hosting account and install WordPress onto your own site / hosting account rather than hosting your site at WordPress.com.

OptimizePressoptimize-press

Once you install WordPress you’ll probably want to install a custom “theme” or “template” to give it your own unique look and feel and add a little more marketing muscle.I really like OptimizePress (this site is currently run on it). In addition to being able to manage a regular blog, OptimizePress also allows you to build squeeze pages and sales pages, and has membership site functionality as well as being able to set up advanced “launch” funnels. You can read more about why I like OptimizePress here and also learn more about OptimizePress on their website, right here.

bluehost-webhostingWeb Hosting For hosting your websites, I recommend BlueHost.com. You can see my article here on How to Start a WordPress Blog with Bluehost, although you can host any type of website, not just WordPress based websites.

Email Marketing

Aweber

I personally use and recommend Aweber to handle your list building and email marketing efforts.  You can learn more about why I use Aweber here and get your first month of Aweber for $1  FREE here.

AW Pro Tools

If you’re looking to add advanced functionality to Aweber, this is a pretty amazing tool.  Warning: AW Pro Tools is for advanced marketers only.

Autoresponder Madness

As you can see, I generally only recommend actual “tools” you can use in your business. Very rarely do I recommend products. This is an exception to the rule. When it comes to learning how to make more money with email marketing, Autoresponder Madness is hands-down the best course out there. If you’ve never heard of it before and haven’t been through it yet, you are in for a real treat.Buy, download, and implement Autoresponder Madness into your business right now. (if you really need to see why I’m so adamant about recommending this course, you can read my review of Autoresponder Madness here).

Webinars

I truly think that webinars are one of the most powerful tools available to you when it comes to creating content, delivering products, and increasing sales.  There are two webinar services I recommend for two specific purposes:

GoToWebinar

For live trainings, I think GoToWebinar is the best service available. Enough said. You can get a 30-day free trial of GoToWebinar here.

EverWebinar: This is the tool I use to manage and run “automated webinars”.  I personally think the automated webinar is the best online marketing tool invented since the email autoresponder.  Automated webinars give your tremendous leverage and automation in your business.  My favorite tool for creating and running automated webinars is EverWebinar.
